Do you work with healthcare professionals? Are you speaking to CCGs and other health commissioners about the impact of technology enabled care?

Looking for a FREE resource to introduce GPs, nurses and other healthcare professionals to telehealth, telecare and telemedicine?

TSA is supporting the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) to raise awareness of technology enabled care (TEC) via a new 90-minute e-learning course that is free for all UK healthcare professionals.

What does the RCGP course cover?

• It introduces the concepts, history and future of telehealth, telecare and telemedicine in the UK

• It demonstrates the case for change and the importance of improving the use of telehealth and technology in the NHS

• It describes the current and future landscape within primary care

• It provides examples of its use in general practice

• The course discusses barriers and challenges for technology enabled care and how this can be used to support self-care and patient empowerment

The course has been developed in collaboration with pioneers in UK telecare: NHS Stoke-on-Trent CCG and the West Midlands Academic Health Science Network (WMAHSN).

The course - ‘Telehealth, telemedicine and telecare: an introduction to TECS’ can be accessed here.

RCGP Members, Fellows, Associates in Training or members of the GP Foundation are automatically registered and can login here.
