BT launches Digital Voice for home phone customers



Following a successful pilot, BT has now launched Digital Voice as an option for home phone customers.

This is in line with the move to all IP Voice services by all communication providers and follows BT’s announcement to move all of its customers from PSTN to all IP by the end of 2025 in the context of the the digital switchover from analogue to digital networks.

Digital Voice will be available nationally to new and existing customers who contact BT through their sales channels requesting a high speed broadband service. Digital Voice will not currently be offered to customers requiring a voice only service, they will remain on PSTN for the time being.

Service providers requiring further information should contact their equipment provider. For a list of providers who have tested their equipment in the BT Digital Services Lab and for further information on the all IP programme visit
