Herts Careline’s community alarm and telecare service has has a busy and productive few months. First they moved to a new Control Room to cope with their expanding service. Next they launched a new portable pendant and location service – Herts Bernie – to support people’s independence outside their home. And last but not least they achieved a 100% recommendation rate from its customers in their annual survey.
The service’s move to a new Control Room, in Letchworth Garden City, is an investment in the long term future of the service for its 16,000+ customers. The service has experienced huge growth over the past few years as demand for assistive technology to support people’s independence in their own home has seen a steep increase in interest as people see the benefits it can bring
Ever one for innovation, the service has launched a new product to meet demand from customers who wanted a pendant that works outside of the home - the Herts Bernie Portable Pendant Location Service.
His exceptional performance was generated from the service’s annual customer satisfaction survey with gathers the opinions of those using the service.
Customers in the survey remarked about the “Quickness of response”; “Peace of mind” and the sense of “Feeling safe in their own home”.
