Telecare Cardiff are in their second phase of their mobile responder digitalisation and as a result they are doing more to focus on falls. Their response service was first established in 1993 and with the move to digitalisation the team are obtaining live data and a better perspective of their service.
The team are actively linking in with their Independent Living Service, Social Care and third party organisation. Telecare Cardiff are seeing a continued increase into referrals for their service, increase requests for responders and an increase in the number of falls which is a clear indication for deconditioning.
There is a clear need for response service across the country to prevent those long lies and prevent hospital admission.
