Rachael Forbister heads up TSA's TEC Quality

Former TECS Programme Manager at NHS Sunderland Clinical Commissioning Group Rachael Forbister begins her new role at TSA as Head of Standards and Quality Improvement for TEC Quality this week, with forward thinking ambitions for the scheme.

Well known in the technology enabled care and health sectors and with a wealth of experience in implementing transformational technology services and projects into communities, Rachael Forbister begins her role as Head of Standards and Quality Improvement for TEC Quality at a time when standards become every more acutely needed in TEC.

Rachael's strong health background through her former involvement at NHS Sunderland CCG, aligns her experience well as the TEC sector looks to embed itself more holistically into the wider health and social care network, particularly following Covid-19. She has always been passionate about quality and is looking forward to driving this agenda forward nationally and making a difference to the lives of thousands of citizens:

“It’s an exciting time to be joining TEC Quality when we are still in the middle of a global pandemic. Taking on this role is an opportunity to carve the future of quality standards, to push the boundaries with our offer and to challenge our members to be the best that they can be through driving up the quality of their service offer. It's also an opportunity to support the exploration of new emerging technology and how standards need to be developed for this type of technology.

"There’s no time like the present to ensure TEC services across health and care are driven by quality standards. As we move beyond Covid to a new era using cutting edge technology, it is imperative that both suppliers and providers meet standards that will ensure the safety of their services to deliver the future of health and care.”
