How can technology be truly integrated into adult social care?

The joint ADASS TSA Commission findings and recommendations

Enabling workforces to make efficient and effective use of technology and data to improve outcomes for people, families and carers.

The need for social care is rising but not enough local authorities or care providers are using technology within industry to keep people safe, happy and healthy at home. With 1.9 million new requests for social care support received by councils in 2019-20 and 5 million people juggling caring responsibilities with work and family life, TSA and ADASS have commissioned this report to see how technology can be truly integrated into adult social care.

Led by The Association of Directors of Adult Social Services (ADASS) and the TEC Services Association (TSA), along with evidence from nearly 60 people, this joint Commission is calling on Government to fund a two-year programme of 10 social care innovation projects to begin the process of normalising the use of digital and technology solutions within social care.
