Technology Enabled Care (TEC) has the potential to enhance safety, provide more options and autonomy, and lower the expenses associated with care. Moreover, it can assist individuals of all ages in attaining progress-oriented objectives, such as becoming valuable and efficient contributors to their community.
TEC has the potential to support people’s safety, independence and progressions-based outcomes outside of the typical older persons/physical disabilities cohort that most services in the UK focus on; including Learning Disabilities, Younger Adults, Children etc.
The greater use and convergence of consumer digital devices into social care can also establish the foundations for positive behaviour, establish and maintain routines and ensure someone understands what is happening next in their day.
