Benefits Realisation, Evidence & Evaluation
Thursday 20 July 2023, 13.00 – 14.30
Location: To be held via MS Teams

Demonstrating how TEC services achieve individual, organisational and systemic benefits creates a virtuous cycle of investment and development.

To ensure that Technology Enabled Care (TEC) services have significant and sustained impact, benefits realisation must be woven into every step of the journey; from strategising through to delivery. But, what is it exactly? Put simply, it is the identification, definition, planning, tracking and realisation of benefits.

Defining benefits from the outset is crucial in ensuring that you:

  • Are clear on what you are looking to measure;
  • Have the right inputs to do so; and
  • Have input from the recipients of the benefits (co-production).

In this virtual session, you will explore examples of successful benefits realisation approaches and the key factors that contribute to these methods. You will be equipped with the knowledge to develop your own benefits realisation approach with colleagues and stakeholders.

Developing an All-Age TEC Service that meets Complex Needs
Thursday 2 November 2023, 13:30 - 15:00
Location: To be held via MS Teams

Technology Enabled Care (TEC) has the potential to enhance safety, provide more options and autonomy, and lower the expenses associated with care. Moreover, it can assist individuals of all ages in attaining progress-oriented objectives, such as becoming valuable and efficient contributors to their community.

TEC has the potential to support people’s safety, independence and progressions-based outcomes outside of the typical older persons/physical disabilities cohort that most services in the UK focus on; including Learning Disabilities, Younger Adults, Children etc.

The greater use and convergence of consumer digital devices into social care can also establish the foundations for positive behaviour, establish and maintain routines and ensure someone understands what is happening next in their day.

In this virtual session, you will explore examples of how digital TEC can support people of all ages. We will discuss the learning and challenges faced by others who introducing TEC to support people with complex needs, and you will be equipped with the knowledge to identify use cases relevant to you.

Embedding TEC as part of the ‘First Offer’
Monday 11 December 2023, 13:30 - 15:00
Location: To be held via MS Teams

There isn't a single way to deliver a transformation that firmly places TEC as part of the ‘first offer’; every organisation must choose the right approach for them based on their strategy, culture and priorities. The most successful transformations are delivered when everyone is pulling in the same direction – but this isn’t always easy.

A successful transformation requires:

  • Strong and inspirational leaders advocating for the change;
  • A clear vision and purpose; and
  • Consistent and ongoing engagement with your people.

In this virtual session, you will explore examples of TEC service transformations. This will include the successes and lessons learned, as well as how these can apply to your organisation. You will be equipped with the knowledge to understand the strategy, culture and priorities at your organisation and to plan for successful transformation.
