Technology Practitioner 
ATEC24

Salary: £35,936 - £42,492 per year
Hours: Full and Part time available

This is an exciting new opportunity within Edinburgh Health and Social Care Partnership (EHSCP), to join ATEC24, in the new role of Technology Practitioner.

ATEC24 (Assistive Technology Enabled Care 24) hosts a range of preventative and enabling services to support citizens living across Edinburgh. Based centrally, the Technology Practitioners will join the Assistive Living Team to provide a city-wide service focussed on delivering the pro-active and early intervention agenda, specifically in relation to the use of equipment and technology.

The Technology Practitioners will be responsible for promoting the use of telecare and technology enable care across the partnership and will have a lead role in developing a training and specialist advice programme to support partnership staff. Their work will help to embed awareness, build skills and confidence in the use of technology to ESCHP staff, service providers and the individuals that they support.

The post holders will be involved in developing this specialist, consultancy based role, over an initial 12month period. Successful applicants should be motivated, dynamic and flexible. There are 2 posts available; both full and part-time applications are welcomed.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.  Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
