TEC Sales Development Manager - Midlands and North

 

 

 

Main Purpose of Job

 

To grow Possum’s sales of Telecare products in the Midlands and North of England. To be a TEC expert and develop strong customer relationships and high customer satisfaction levels. To develop new business in new channels.

 

Location - Home Based with regular travel to customers and events.

 

Job Responsibilities and Scope of Job

  • Meet with Local Authorities in the region to follow up on sales opportunities and establish excellent customer relations.
  • Work with the sales team and technical team in offering customers the best possible support on new and existing product ranges.
  • Work in partnership with team to give Possum the best chance possible of securing new business via tenders.
  • Support customer’s installers when necessary.
  • Ensure that TEC equipment specified meets the needs of the customer and service user.
  • Develop and execute a plan, to develop new business in new channels.
  • Effectively launch new products / firmware releases.
  • Identify opportunities for new product improvements to enhance the current offer or customer experience.
  • Develop training materials and provide technical training and support to clients and stakeholders.
  • Actively monitor competitor activity and undertake comparisons.
  • Provide technical support to customers and other stakeholders, including configurations and portal management.
  • Play a full active role in the TEC team to grow the business.
  • Attend trade shows and relevant events (e.g. TSA, Careshow, etc)
  • Perform follow-up duties and actions from appointments.
  • Travelling to various client locations, overnight stays may be required on occasions.

 

Qualifications

  • Degree level education preferable.
  • A full, clean driving license.
  • UK passport.

Experience

  • A proven track record in the assistive tech / telecare sector / Healthcare/ Med Tech
  • Knowledge and experience in assistive technology, social alarm, IP and / or social alarm monitoring would be an advantage.
  • Experience of developing new business in new sectors.

Skills

  • Selling skills and experience – communicating a value proposition, negotiating and closing.
  • New business development – research, generating leads, creating appointments and closing new business.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Ability to offer good customer service and strong relationship management
  • Organised with attention to detail.
  • Good time management.
  • Technical knowledge of products.
  • Intermediate to Advanced use of Microsoft package including Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint.
