Purpose (Objective)
- The project will be set into 5 parts which cover the provision of TEC systems, defined as: - System (end to end resilience requirements), - Product (DAU, Housing, IOT, Telecare), - Comms Method (Cellular, WIFI, Ethernet, Hybrid), - Middleware (Bridge’s, SIP Trunks), and -Monitoring Platforms (Platforms, Remote Call Handling, New Critical and Low Priority Alert management)
- To risk assess the resilience of TEC systems, data and technology sub-systems, along with how they impact services.
- Where systems are found to not be appropriate for their intended purpose or where supporting information is not adequate, then guidance on digital resilience and seamless operation will be revisited.
- Following this, requirements for training and standards will be identified along with relevant measurables which will later be considered for inclusion in QSF Standards.
Work Programme Update (July 2025)
Reliability and availability of TEC services are crucial to the provision of support to people of highest need and risk. This project aims to assess the resilience of systems, along with how they impact services. To date, a fully engaged team has carried out comprehensive risk identification and assessments on all relevant risk systems and cellular high-level mitigation work has been carried out at ICG group level. Ongoing, detailed work on these high-level risk mitigations and risks, via weekly team meetings, is 80% complete. Guidance paper will be released in due course.
