Across the TEC sector, a collective effort from TSA, UKTelehealthcare, Scotland Digital Office, Trading Standards Scotland, The National Trading Standards (NTS) Scams Team, Openreach, and Cadent have been working to identify common scam calls and unethical sales tactics targeting our industry.
Sadly, 73% of UK adults - or 40 million people - have been targeted by scams, with 35% - or 19 million - losing money because of this criminal offence, according to new research released by National Trading Standards (NTS).
This guidance is designed to help front-line TEC services stay vigilant, recognise common scam types, and support customers, families, and informal carers in identifying and responding to potential fraud.
