Purpose (Objective)

  • Support the introduction of proactive and preventative services.
  • Show how proactive and preventative technologies and accompanying services are already being used successfully to support people, their families and unpaid carers to live the life that they want and reference their lived experiences of these services.
  • Provide a vision of how these technologies could be used in the future to support services and a simplified explanation of how they work (myth buster).
  • Be based on best in class approaches already being deployed by Local Authorities and TEC Service Providers.
  • Be accompanied by a tool that will allow a service commissioner to work out at a high level, the likely costs, benefits and outcomes of proactive and preventative services.

Work Programme Update (July 2025)
Previously, SRIG members identified multiple barriers to growth for TEC and more specifically for proactive and preventative solutions (P&P), outlining the need to improve care experiences and outcomes for individuals who draw on care and the financial case for investment by local authorities and care providers. To address this TSA partnered with colleagues at ADASS, and created a Commission to unlock the power of proactive and preventative care services. A best practice blueprint was published in April 2025 (at the ADASS pring Seminar).

You can see further information and download the Blueprint here

TSA continues to support Local Authorities to implement the Blueprint.
