North Hertfordshire Council, in partnership with Hertfordshire County Council, has launched a major procurement exercise to establish a multi-supplier framework for the supply, support, and ongoing maintenance of digital telecare equipment—marking a significant step forward in delivering coordinated, future-proofed care technology across the county.
The framework, valued at up to £3.2 million over four years, will support both the Council’s award-winning Herts Careline service and wider assistive technology deployments within the County Council’s adult care and safeguarding services.
Suppliers across the telecare, digital health, and assistive technology sectors are invited to tender for one or more of the following three Lots:
This joint procurement supports Hertfordshire’s preparation for the national analogue to digital switchover, due to conclude in 2025, and reflects a shared ambition to embed resilient, accessible, and digitally connected solutions for residents with complex needs.
“This joint framework allows us to draw on the combined scale and expertise of both councils while delivering local, user-focused outcomes,” said David Martins-Hesp, Assistive Technology Manager at North Hertfordshire Council. “We're seeking partners who can help us maintain safe, responsive services and meet the challenges of the digital switchover head-on.”
