17 December 2025
Dear Members, Partners, and Colleagues, As we near the end of 2025, I want to take a moment to extend my heartfelt thanks to our members, partners and the wider technology enabled care community. This year has brought significant pressures across social care and the wider system, and at times it has been challenging for many of us. Yet what has stood out, time and time again, is the strength, compassion and determination of the people who make this sector what it is. Throughout the year, we have seen real progress and momentum. Together, we have continued to champion quality, raise standards and share insight across the sector. Our community has grown in both size and confidence – both nationally and internationally - and our collective work has helped shape policy conversations, strengthen local delivery and improve the experience of people drawing on care. We have invested in workforce development, brought organisations together to collaborate and learn, and supported innovation across housing, health and social care. We have also celebrated TSA’s 30-year anniversary, taking stock of how far our sector has come, and we will set a clear direction for where we want to go next with the launch of our 2026-2030 business plan early in the new year. Despite the pressures around us, one thing has remained constant. Our members have kept people at the centre of everything they do. You have continued to innovate, solve complex challenges and uphold the standards that protect the most vulnerable. You have shown leadership when it has mattered most, and you have demonstrated that technology enabled care is not simply about devices or systems. It is about enabling people to live safer, healthier and more independent lives. You remain the beating heart of this sector, and I am deeply grateful for all that you do. As we look ahead to 2026, the analogue to digital switchover will be a defining moment for our industry. There is important work still to do to ensure a safe, coordinated transition. But there is also much to be positive about. The progress already made this year reflects what can be achieved when we work together with honesty, shared purpose and a clear focus on people’s lives. I have every confidence that our community will continue to lead with integrity, quality and care as we move into this next phase. Thank you for everything you have contributed in 2025. I wish you, your teams and your families a very merry Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year. Warmest wishes, Alyson Scurfield |
