Carers Week Context
Carers working night shifts need systems they can trust—ones that support them without adding unnecessary pressure or disruption.
The Situation
A care service using an Alert‑iT monitoring system contacted the support team to review how alerts were performing during night shifts.
The aim was to ensure the system was as effective and appropriate as possible for the individual’s environment.
What We Did
Working collaboratively with the care team, Alert‑iT reviewed how the system was set up and identified an opportunity to refine sensitivity settings based on the specific mattress and care environment.
Small adjustments were made to optimise performance.
What Changed for Carers
Why It Matters
This example shows how assistive technology should adapt to real-world care settings.
By ensuring systems are correctly configured, carers can rely on alerts when they matter most—reducing stress and improving overall working conditions.
