South Ayrshire H&SCP support our communities with TEC to remain safe and promote independence in their own homes. The service has a Monitoring Station, dedicated Telecare Staff and a Responder’s Service to ensure our communities feel supported when discharging from hospital, dealing with minor health issues or suffering from a spell of falls. The service has been established over a number of years and has gained a reputation for giving an excellent service. Feedback from individuals and their families has been overall very positive where statements such as “The service makes me feel safe at home” “The staff are friendly and very helpful”. Are recorded in our Quality Assurance visits. We continue to strive to improve the service we deliver.

We are a unitary authority delivering a traditional Telecare service to approximately 1600 customers. The assessment, installation, maintenance and repair of the Telecare is delivered in house. There is also an in-house rapid response and falls service provided to residents subscribed to the Telecare offer. The monitoring is commissioned and delivered currently by Senior Link Eldercare. The Council is embracing Assistive Technology as to invest to save option. The aim is to develop an Assistive Technology service that can accelerate the promotion and adoption of AT knowledge across the service, operational teams and partners.

South Holland District Council deliver social housing to tenants within the South Holland region. Included within this are approx. 1026 sheltered housing dwellings that are connected for support via a warden call system. In addition, we deliver a lifeline service to local residents through private hire. This work is outsourced via a contract to Tunstall / Lincolnshire Housing Partnership, who also monitor our calls. As a council we are currently reviewing our sheltered housing offer and looking at the digital change that will affect all our equipment and putting plans in place for the correct upgrades. Joining the TSA will keep us in touch with industry good practice and also any innovation.
